Stephen Wells
Business Coach
How did I get here and what does being a business coach mean to me?
My role as a Business Coach
My business coaching comes straight from the heart (and my mind runs at a million miles an hour). I listen closely to what people say and reflect it back to them. I also listen between the lines, noticing what they’re not saying when they talk about feeling stuck. From there, I drill into the details of what they’re expressing, then zoom back out to see the bigger picture and spot the patterns in their behaviour. Together, we work on finding solutions that actually fit their needs.
Some people call me blunt. Others say I am flippant or even arrogant (I genuinely try not to be). But most say I trigger something that shifts how they see their situation—and that makes me happy.
It makes me happy because I have been stuck too. For years, I kept repeating the same patterns and getting the same results (and yes, I still fall into those traps sometimes). It took a mix of honest, insightful people to shake me up and help me find my way through.
My background
I never really know how much to share at this point:
Do you want to know about my scientific background, my use of logic, experimentation, reasoning, testing and questioning everything?
Do you want to know how (and why) my world, and life, fell apart when my dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour? (and how I eventually recovered from that)
Do you want to know about my jobs in logistics, project management, requirement gathering, training, making things happen, software and processes development?
Do you want to know about my 30+ years of personal development, martial arts, energy work, Reiki, NLP, meditation, coaching and being coached?
If any of these are important to you feel free to ask me about them (and more) when we talk. I, however, will be more interested in hearing about you.
- The core of what we do is identify what you need to do,
what is stopping you from doing it,
and how to get you moving forward.

The best way to really find out about me is to have a chat.

Other things to know about me are:
I used to hate having my picture taken,
now I'm OK with it.
I am happiest in shorts, sandals, t-shirt and maybe a hoodie, sitting in a park rather than an office.
(So don't be surprised if that is how you see me when we have a video call.)
